what do i do when my 16 yrs old daughter and fiance dislike each other?

Have you all sat down to find out what the issues are and discussed ways to compromise ?

My daughter and her fathers new wife didn't get along at all. It finally boiled down to my daughter taking the high road and not allowing the woman to bother her. My daughter was 8 at the time.

I'm having a similar issue, my husband seriously dislikes my 14 yr old son. Husbands attitude changed drastically after we got married. Before, while we were dating and engaged he was nice to my son, but for the past 2 years since we have been married, he's pretty hostile toward my son. I've tried talking with husband about it, but it's not getting better. What is really surprising me is that my son is being very adult about it, he just kinda shrugs and goes back to his room. (I know, that's not good either - hiding in his room like a hermit). But I think another kid would be all up in husband's face!
I'm not sure how to handle this situation either
