I did it! I was able to hold my dh's hand till he went to sleep and I actually enjoyed it. However I was wide awake the whole time and just waiting for him to drift off. Once he was soundly asleep, I let go and moved away. It seemed like I needed more distance afterwards but having broken through one barrier, I know i can get through more.
