My brother and his wife are coming for Christmas, and they will be arriving in 5 hours. My mother has gone off the deep end by manically cleaning the house and yelling at both my younger brother and I almost constantly.

She won't listen to reason, and keeps on yelling for us to clean so she won't be so frantic. I told her to take some deep breaths and calm down, but she just yelled at me for giving her advice.

She seriously just needs a mega sized chill pill.

I know just how you feel. Someone in my family gets like that before company comes and it makes me crazy. I hope that you get to enjoy your brother's visit once they get there.

Lol you made me laugh so thank you for that.
I'm sorry you have to deal with that!!
It's so funny to me to see people freak out over stuff like that, as if freaking out helps better ANY situation?
You broke a leg? Let me just FREAK OUT! That will fix it!!

Good luck with your situation. I sympathise. I have found that claiming my own space is essential for my wellbeing, so if I can't get that where I am, a walk in the nearest piece of nature or just around the block helps me to sort myself out. Very Slowly!
Thanks for this!

Can you send her over to my place? It's trashed -- and it would get her out of your hair for a few hours
Thanks for this!

You're lucky. I've got a steering wheel stuck down me pants and that's driving me nuts.
Thanks for this!
