This year I have decided to get over the sadness over a break up.I had a relationship years ago and I haven't been able to accept that he is in another relationship and not going to be my partner anymore. When he moved on,I just stuffed all my feelings in a box and put the lid on.i never processed them or even faced the reality of things.I miss him like crazy everyday and the sadness is not worth it. I want to let go of the sadness.I'm planning to see a therapist.Any tips regarding how to get over the sadness of a person not being in your life is appreciated.

Seeing a therapist will help. But you have to embrace your feelings both good and bad. And make a conscious effort to move forward. Meet new people date again. And you will find a new love trust me you will. Just get out there have fun enjoy life and a new love will be waiting when you're focused on living life.

Be kind to yourself and talk about it! I've found that's helped Try and focus your energy on moving forward, as girlsgroup said, and do the things you like to do. You will move on and feel better, it's just going to hurt for a little while right now. Keep telling yourself that although it hurts now, it'll get better. A little pain now will let you move towards something greater!

It is hard, everyone says there are plenty of men out there,
someimes it does not help. I have just tried to go on with my life- currently looking for a job, volunteering and helping a relative who is sick/ It does not take the place at all.
It has been a few months that he does not answer emails or calls so I have no choice,
I love him - been 2 hurts. He dropped me without a clue. I see a therapist and see psc
and hope to find new friends Other freinds and things to do can help
