I am trying to understand how wives spend their domestic life (life around the house).

Can you please break it down into percentages?

55% Housework
30% Yelling at my family
10% Television
5% Sex

IT, I can't break it down into percentage of my time. I can tell you who did what percentage of the work around the house. Let me preface this by saying that for most of my married life I worked 2, and sometimes 3, jobs in addition to taking care of the house. I worked 60 to 80+ hours per week. Hubby worked one 40 hour per week job.

cleaning the house - me 100% Hubby 0%
laundry - me 100% Hubby 0%
cooking me 50% Hubby 50% (but I got to wash the dishes regardless who cooked)
grocery shopping me 95% Hubby 5%
pet care - me 95% Hubby 5%
yard work (mowing, weeding, etc.) me 100% Hubby 0%

I think this gives a good idea of the division of labor around the house.

I work full time, so I'm just breaking down time outside of work more or less. I can only break it down by percentage of the work done, not actual percentage of my time spent doing those things. Definitely a very rough estimate:

My husband, children and I all share the cleaning responsibilities, so my part of the cleaning responsibility comes down to around 30%ish give or take.

My husband and I split the laundry duties, and the kids help some too, so my part of the laundry is around 40%ish.

I do most of the cooking, probably 80%ish.

I do most of the grocery shopping, probably 80%ish.

I do the finances 100%.

I don't let the above responsibilities overwhelm my homelife. My priority is always to spend most of my home time enjoying my family, whatever I am doing. My relaxation time is spent reading, talking with my family, watching television, attending choir and chorus rehearsals, going to church with family, etc. My sex life is, quite frankly, no one's business by mine and my husband's.

Work takes up ten hours of my day or more.
I cook a couple hours a week. My husband cooks on weekends.
My husband does most of the housework because he is home more than I am.
We share most of the responsibility for our pets.
He does 80% of the grocery shopping because he likes it and I hate it.
He handles about 75% of the finances.
He is definitely more domestic than I am.

Hi It, We have always shared 50/50 of domestic duties. We both work outside the home also.
Since I'm home on weekdays the kids health ,homework,discipline and schedules was my deal and H took care of the cars, lawn work!, and handy man jobs We enjoy doing a lot of things together! and I enjoy leaving honey do lists too!

Well we have alot of land, so basically hubby does all the outside, mowing, bush hogging, Car repairs , Landscaping and moving any downs limbs or trees etc....

I handle all the inside stuff , cooking , cleaning, laundry, I make sure he has food packed and ready to take to work. I care for the dogs , We use to have loads of livestock , but we got rid of all that expense and work.

It works for us.. Its not written in stone, Sure sometimes we have to fill in when one of us isn't physically able to, due to us both having Chronic pain.

We don't keep score..

No, I just want to know how you spend your day at home, not who does what percentage of what . . .

For example, my day consists of

My time is spend doing all the needed stuff lol . I am ocd about cleaning , so I clean daily even tho it doesnt need it , I wander PC, I wander websites I enjoy, I am working on a quilt. I play with my dogs, I cook I bake stuff, I write in my journal, I can read a book a day , thank god for my Kindle ! I keep in touch with my friends, I enjoy Facebook, I go out and do things.. I stay very busy, And on the days my pain is unbearable I tend to stay in bed or on the couch.
