What if anything can I do about this now?
Just came back from the doctors office after being up for 2 nights in a row sick. I have a fever and am on codeine. The whole trip home was a disaster, vertigo, shivers, and some weird sort of brain fog where everything was kind of a blur. Not usually like this, just really sick! Here's where dumb starts: I get to the bus stop and my bus was there, not sure for how long, can't see the doors because they are on the other side of the bus. The doors that people use to board the bus are between the bus and the side of a building. There's usually about 2 feet of space between the bus and the building. My first instinct was to wait for the next bus, but this guy a few steps ahead of me made it on so I thought (or jumped to the wrong conclusion) that I could safely get there in time. Nope! I was stuck between the bus and the building when the bus doors closed, which is a sign that the driver is ready to leave and that he doesn't see me. I panicked and hit bus's windows extremely hard because I thought I was going to get run over. (If the bus leaves, then I'm trapped between it and the building.) I think I really scared the people on board (they gasped as if shocked and some said, "geez") and that what I did looked really bad, I panicked after making a split second stupid judgement. I may be remembered for it. Then the bus driver opened only the front door so I wasn't able to say sorry to the people nearer the back of the bus where I hit the glass (and the bus was packed/rush hour). I wish this story ended there! Next, I realize that I forgot to take some essential disability equipment out of my bag and lost my balance while the bus was moving (I didn't get a seat since I was the last to board.). I lost my balance and accidentally stomped on someone's foot. I got to say sorry that time but it wasn't enough. She was making noises like it hurt all the way home. I feel awful. I wish I could turn the clock back.... My best idea so far of what to do about this: Next time I'm in a conversation with someone I know on the bus, I will try to find a way to bring up that I was sick and disoriented felt bad about this. Hopefully, I will figure out who's foot I stomped on so I can make a better apology and amends if necessary. Hopefully, the word will get out to the right people that I was sick, lacking 2 days of sleep, and on medication when I hit the bus window in panic and will never ever ever do that again. I am really sorry and feel like an a-hole, if I can say that on here. |

You shouldn't feel bad for that!! You were sick and kinda buzzin'! Feel bad if you stomped on someone's foot on purpose, not by accident!
Feel better! |

more than likely it's not something that anyone on the bus even thought further about after leaving the bus. You shouldn't worry about it either.
