Gonna be blunt and say **** this guy. Suggesting you get rid of a pet at this early stage because HE'S uncomfortable instead of seeking out some kind of compromise or considering, you know, your feelings? Red flag. Abort. We're a package deal with our pets once we make the commitment, in my opinion.

Also, having your feelings disregarded and marginalized with something like "drama queen" is probably pretty telling about what the future holds. Go back to the drawing board. This guy is trouble.
