When you find out that someone in your life has the same or similar mental illnesses as you, does that ever make you feel competitive towards them? It's like, if I can't be worse than them, then that must mean that I'm just a faker and all my issues are totally invalidated.

No. Well I don't really have mental illness as I was never formally diagnosed with anything but I have some issues and yes I know people who have similar issues. Well whatever issues i have many others have it worse. I am rather anxious person especially when it comes to certain things, it isn't debilitating though and others have it way worse. It doesn't make whatever I have is Fake or invalidated. Mine is mine and theirs is theirs
