I dated a boy, my first boyfriend, for two years. We broke up in December but still un officially were seeing each other, by hooking up and going on dates, until one night in May he said he just wanted to be friends. The next day I found out he was preparing to ask out a girl named Becca. I went on vacation for two weeks, and for that time and the next two weeks I didn't speak with him. Last Sunday he had a fight with becca and they broke up. The next day he took me out to dinner and slept with me, claiming he wanted to be back with me, so I got a job at jimmy johns with him. Last Friday, he brings in becca while I'm still under the impression he wants to date me, but ends up he got back with her and basically rubbed it in my face. My manager let me leave work early because my ex was so rude and I was about to cry at work. He was an *** that entire day but since then he's been nice to me at work. But I don't want to be civil with him, because I don't want him to think what he did was okay, using me, and think that I forgive him. How should I handle time at work? Be civil, only talk about work? I really don't want to be friends with him.

I'm sorry that this guy decided to mistreat you.
Yes, be civil and only talk about work. You both need to be professional at work. Consider finding another job or another store, since I gather you picked that place mainly to be able to work with him. In the future: don't date people you work with. In the future: don't hook up with exes. As I see it, that makes it hard for you to get over the ex, and also creates new wounds as you will often if not generally learn that the ex thinks nothing of sleeping with you during "down times" when he doesn't have someone else available. And definitely stay away from this particular guy! (((((Shortie87X))))) |
