I am so mad. The mental health workers told me to scare off my ex-boyfriend on facebook. Then, he blocked me. I am so upset because they keep telling me to do things and I don't know why. What should I do? My ex-boyfriend was actually very narcissistic and treated me poorly.

I would probably want directives in writing, at this point, so there's no misunderstandings. .

if the mental health people are still telling you to do bad things and you are back on your meds (ruling out that it may be a delusion) contacting your police (911) will take care of the situation so that the mental health people cant hurt you any more. |

He wasn't all bad. He was sometimes nice to me. He just wants to date someone who is successful, attractive, and smart. So, when I gained weight, he was a jerk.

While I personally don't believe that anyone should make you 'scare someone away' it really sounds like he is not the right person for you and maybe they were trying to keep you safe away from him? You deserve someone who loves you for who you are, not what they think you should be.

I was really going to combine this thread to encompass two different situations. Now the title doesn't make any sense.

Mental health workers should support you not tell you do things that will hinder you recovery or cause mental anguish.
