I have had serious problems working and dealing with other people. I am not a mean spirited guy at all and try to do the right thing. In work settings, I do try my best but I get very much thrown off my game when having to work with others. It has so happened that the overwhelming majority of my supervisors have been very belligerent towards me.

I have had problems with depression, anxiety, and attention issues. As a result of these negative situations, my motivations wanes.

Do you guys feel that you better off working on your own?

How does one communicate this to others?

Is this a boundary issue?

Everyone is different. Some people like to work alone or from home or quiet and some like noise and crowds. It is individual preference. My line of work never lets me be alone and it is never quiet. I also have a side job that isn't as demanding but also loud and crowded. But that's how I like it

My brother works from home. I would get nothing done and maybe get depressed. Not my thing

I completely understand. I cannot for some reason make friends. healthy friends. having to get along with bosses?...well that is another issue entirely. I am currently not able to work. haven't worked in 2 years. I am not sure I'd be able to get back to the workforce. Too many politics and games being played. I have no real advice. other than yes, put up good boundaries. protect yourself. do not let the work people know about your social life or personal life. just my opinion. hope this helps some.
