My social circle practiclly ended over night with an unwelcome move. I was meeting no new friends and relied on social media and skype to keep in touch with the old. It wasn't long before that fell off to rare contact few and far between. Now it seems no one wants to reply to any attempt I make to reach out.

I've begun to make social aquaintances through my support and drop in groups but I have trust issues preventing my making these closer friendships.

When I AM contacted by someone I am stunned and afraid to pick up the phone or immediately respond to a text. Again, I have trust issues and immediately jump to the conclusion they need something from me. I just can't believe anymore that someone actually wants to be my friend.

At the same time I blame my family for tearing me away from where I once so happily lived surrounded by friends and colleagues. I really miss being well connected socially.
