Unprotected sex is just carelessness, unwanted babies and stds can be life altering or life ending in some cases.. is an orgasm worth the risk ?

Well, update. Went and got a copper IUD put in yesterday at good ol PP. That acts as EC for unprotected sex (the condom slipping off is a risk I don't want to take my chances on), not to mention - birth control for the next 10 years! And got tested for STI's.

As for how it came off. No, not a lot of alcohol involved (I think he was actually sober). Maybe he is inexperienced with them? There are certain ways (I googled it) that help keep it on. Like how and when you pull out with it on and what not. I don't know if it was a size issue as it did not happen the second time. And if it is a size issue, still irks me that a guy thinks it is ok to come over to your house to have sex and not bring a condom of his own that is his right size. Do girls have to be responsible for everything? Oh yes, right, because we are the ones who get pregnant! Guys can just go shoot their wad all over town with no consequences.

As for the IUD. After getting it, I read up about it online cause it was hurting. Said it was normal to have cramping/spotting the first couple days. But then reading more about it, there are all these horror stories about people's IUD's perforating the uterus, getting embedded in the uterine wall, or breaking when it is removed with part of the thing still inside your uterus and people having to get hysterectomies because of it! I'm all worried about that now. I don't want to lose my chance of ever becoming pregnant one day, just not right now. Anyone else have an IUD? I might have to start a new thread about that...

My daughter has one. That's really the only for of birth control her body would tolerate. She tried many things like pills and patches and shots. Everything effect her moods and with pills she is afraid to forget to take one. IUD works fine. I don't know about incidents you described, maybe talk to your doctor?

I had a copper 7 back in the day. They put them in women who havent had kids yet because the device is so tiny. You still need to be careful of STI's. Mine was fine for a while - like maybe a couple of years? Then i started getting really heavy periods so i had it removed and started using a diaphragm again or something.
