Has anyone been to one of these? My therapist is encouraging me to go to one that falls on valentine day weekend.

The event is at a bar lounge or restaurant. The guys get a key and the gals get a lock. You go around seeing which key opens which lock.

I did see ice house. It's about swingers. Maybe it's different for singles but it sounds like a hookup event. I am confused. Why is therapist suggesting it? What are you going to do with the girl when the key matches? What if you have nothing in common? I don't think this is about meeting potential soul mates. If you know what I mean. I didn't realize you were talking about that type of event

No definetly not to meet "the one@ but out to socialize, meet new people and have fun. It is not intended like a spring break hookup. If the keys match you can win a prize.

I had this Eventbrite application for a while. Was using it for some church related events, but discovered it went beyond church related functions. There have been many great functions and events that caught my interest. Maybe you'd find events through that app or similar?

I've been to single events few times. One was number of men and women having lunch gathering. Also once it was new year event. It was fun. One was dancing, I love dancing but not with men I don't know so that didn't work.
Just this key matching business sounds iffy but I might be wrong. I think I am fun and I am social and am not shy but I am also turning 50, so I don't think it is my kind of thing, maybe I am just old lol I'd be afraid it is a hook up.
