Hi I left my boyfriend of 2 years as I felt we just didn't get eachother

We communicated badly and got wires crossed a lot and broke eachothers hearts

We have be apart for a few months now with very minimal text conversations but friendly, nothing nasty.

I went out on a date tonight with a lovely man but it really made me see how much I miss my ex.

I miss the comfort of going out with my ex, i miss our private joke and even the way he always knew how to order my drink. I know these things come with time but I miss him so much

How can I get him back

I love him

Well, if a guy wants you, they'll pursue you. Nevertheless, i'd reach out and see what happens. Good luck

Do you miss him or just the comfort of a long relationship? If you miss him: Than be honest to him and tell him what you told us. If he says no: respect it and move on.
I don't want to sound harsh, I just think you have to work a lot on your communication with each other and a good first step is an honest approach
