What does it say about human behavior when a post entitled "Beheading" gets 163 reads and 21 presponses and one entitled "What is Love?" gets 119 reads and only 12 responses?

No wonder the media has to sensationalize their news! Otherwise they would have no readers/watchers. Just an observation

My observation is that this says that the person who posts beheading and needs help -- whilst the person who posts about love is on the right track and does not. I do not think it reflect negatively on our community or human nature.

I don't think it says much at all...

Before I read a post I hover over it so I can read the first few lines of the content prior to viewing...don't pay much attention to the headings...just the trigger icon.

And I responded to her, too, Seeker! When I stopped reading that thread, EVERYONE was in agreement that she was in danger. How many times and how many ways can you say the same thing??

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Wants2}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Maybe my observation comes from the fact that I have a need also.

Aside from that, though, if you take a look at the board as a whole, the threads that get the most attention are the ones that are of a controversial subject. Love isn't one of those but it's the subject that people as a whole don't understand much at all. If you'll re-read my original post on what Love is, I welcomed input... just in case I am wrong on what *I* think love is. What I listed is MY idea of love; how *I* love people. I'm sure others have different ideas. In fact I KNOW others have different ideas of what love is!

I have to say that I agree with you September.

I made a point of not reading that thread cos I thought the title was bad enough.

The world has quite simply gone crazy

<font color="#000088">Much of society is so addicted to drama and chaos. That is why the media soups up their headlines, to make them sound more dramatic, because then more people are drawn to it,and their ratings go up.
But there is a part of society that is more interested in love and peaceful things, than the drama, and chaos in the world. But sadly that group is smaller than the group addicted to the drama and chaos! Even though Love is much more important, and needed in life to survive,as one of our basic needs. Some just aren't attracted to it, and it is sad, because Love is very important to have in your life in order to be happy. That just shows that there are a lot of unhappy people out there.Just an observation</font>

I do say I have to agree with you SeptemberMorn. When I posted in the New Member Introductions I didn't make a dramatic title with an even more dramatic performance, urgently telling everyone every single problem Ive ever had. I have many and was seeking some help or insight for one but I dont really think it was much of a topic of interest for anyone. I have had a few helpful replies but mostly I feel like I have annoyed people and butt in. I'll stick with my psychiatrist, he may not fully understand or sympathize but we have a friendly chat and he listens....
