So, we went up to this cabin this one time and it turned out I would have to share a tiny room with my younger siblings. The whole time there I felt anxious about the new environment and even scared and all I could really do was follow them around. I had absolutely no privacy the whole time. I finally had a panic attack and at that point begged my Dad to take me home, which he did only when my Mom wanted to leave. Now, many months later, he has the audacity to mock me with a screeching voice, making fun of me for wanting to leaving that *****-hole? He knows about my issues. Why would he mock me? How in the world does he believe that his 'struggles' to bring us back home surpass my struggles with anxiety?

He sounds pretty insensitive. He doesn't understand what you are going through are he couldn't mock you like that. Knowing about issues isn't the same as understanding them and the feeling that go along with them. A lot of people are ignorant about mental illness. I'm sorry you had to overhear this.

Very sorry you had to go through that. I think gayleggg said it best.
Knowing about issues and understanding them are not the same thing.
