I have been referred to a charity that supports victims of domestic violence who also have mental health illness.
I am meeting someone for my first meeting with them tomorrow.I was verbally, emotionally and psychologically abused, bullied, controlled by my mother and sister, both narcissists, for the last 35 years. I am hoping this support worker will help me overcome the bad feelings and negativity from the last episodes of abuse which happened last month.I have just stopped contact with my mother six weeks ago and with my sister I have not seen her for a year and a half. However my mum was giving her my spare keys and she was letting herself into my house without my knowledge or permission and messing my stuff up and moving it about.I rang the police and they filed a domestic violence report.I have had the locks changed but I suffered severe trauma, psychological violence and emotional violence. Do others here have experience of having narcissistic abuse from members of their family? How did you manage with the isolation after you went no contact?I feel terribly alone and like I am being punished even though I chose to cut them out of my life! |

Why are you feeling punished?
You're trying to get some stability, so it's fine. Does your mother and sister still have acces to your house? Why did your mother gave her the keys? |

My mother gave her the keys cos she is on her side and wanted her to find out what was in my new will.My mother and sister are both narcissists and wanted to bring about my death to inherit my house. No neither of them can get in my house now I changed the locks.

I now have an emotional support worker who I will meet with regularly for coffee and chats. She is really nice and I am already feeling brighter after the assessment with her today. She was very kind and understanding and I like her very much. She has been working with domestic violence victims for six years and has personal experience of abuse too!I am feeling very hopeful now and am really self connected now I have support,it is like my soul has settled into my body and is no longer afraid to be here and be alive.I feel my physicallity a lot more, and appreciate my natural surroundings more too.
