So, if all goes well, I will be on a date tomorrow night and I'm as nervous as hell about it. I can't even settle down to sleep. I guess I could grab a dose of Melatonin that I keep on hand for being unable to sleep, but that won't help ease the anxiety when I wake up in the morning. I suppose I should mention that I have generalized anxiety.

There is one tiny hitch that might put a kink in our plans. He is getting his windshield on his car fixed earlier tomorrow. I just hope he has a car he can drive to meet me.

Aw I'm so happy to hear that! Please let us know how it goes! And yea I don't think windshields take that long to replace. They have companies now that come out to your house to do it so it must be an easy fix. Good luck!

I played this game when I was little. I still think about it often. I hope you have a good date!

Relax and keep telling yourself you are just meeting someone to have a nice conversation and hopefully make a friend and if not at least have evening out , don't have any other goals in mind, it helps to relax and not attached to the outcome. Smile and just enjoy time out. It helped me.

So, the evening started off with my mother losing her car keys but we found them and I managed to get to the date on time. Then the guy showed up, and we decided to have dinner though no movie, as he had a splitting headache. We enjoyed a meal at Dave and Buster's where we split the check, and then he gave me a ride home and walked me to the front door where we hugged goodnight. He was sweet, despite having a walloping headache, and I think the date went well.

How did you come to split the check? Did you offer and he accepted? I'm curious, being from an older generation.

Well, the idea was brought up. Nothing concrete....I did text him to say I had a good time though.

It sounds good. I am a bit surprised about the check, I never had a guy suggesting I pay. But I am older. Glad you had a good date! Let us know how things go further and don't stop talking to other guys

Ok. I am so tired...yet I can't stop thinking about him. Who would of thought I would fall for a guy who has a beard, ponytail and isnt built like a Ken doll (aka he is built like a teddy bear)? I just want to feel his arms around me again.
