A bit over a year ago I met a guy at Starbucks. He"d left his back pack and laptop. I called the number on his computer. zhe was grateful. We kept running into each other. We became friends then dated. However we never really went on dates. he was always too busy. A year ago he bought me a diamond ring in white gold. He said it didnt mean we were engaged.

So time went on. Ive been in the hospital a lot for various reasons. he criticises me for being sick likee im faking it. He rambled on all this negative stuff about me and "us".

Then I was just in the hospital for ODing on benedryl for 3 days most of which i dont remember. then I was in the psych hospital for 3 more days. he came to visit me there. seemed pleasant enough. wasnt telling me not to take my over-prescribed psych meds. Then when I got out he told me I was a liar. he asked why I took the pills. I told him i was told by the pills to. "youre lying" he said. so at that point i quit communicating with him. he seemed si nice and should know better as a psychologist. bt the way he is about 70 if that matters. I still have the ring. i wont give it back. its nice.

This man is exhibiting behavior that constitutes domestic violence. I implore you to ask your local women's shelter for help.

Yes you made the right move so stick with it! My bf once told me that MI was all in our heads and we could "get over it" lol. He slept on the couch for awhile. And after the year we just had, I think he gets that he messed up now. He's since done his own research about BP and I can actually talk to him now. But this guy is a psychologist and said that?! Wow. He's in the wrong profession I think. Good luck and stick to your guns! Sell the ring lol.

Personally. I wouldn't accept a diamond ring from a 70 yr old mean man. LOL
