I just needed to vent for a moment because I feel my friends are bored of hearing me talk about my ex.
We broke up over a year ago. I'm in a new relationship, a better relationship. But I still find myself missing my ex. I still think about calling him, and daydream about running into him. I think about what I'd say to him, and how I'd tell him I'm still angry about how he ended things (by a text message after a year of being together). He was awful to me, told me he'd always care, always want to be friends, and then he just stopped picking up the phone, and stopped texting. I'm scared I'll never feel the same way about another person again. We were only together a year, but it was the most meaningful year of my life. I had never given a relationship a chance before. Never trusted a man before. He convinced me to try with him, and I did. I miss him, I don't think I want him back exactly, cause it would never be the same. I'm just angry with how it ended. |

It takes a very long time to get over some people. Some relationships took decades to fully heal from. We open ourselves up to heartbreak by falling in love. Love changes us and alters us as a person and many people can't just stop all those feelings because the other person decided they didn't want them anymore. If only it were that simple. Have you thought about seeing a therapist to work through the pain? (((Hugs)))
