Today I was looking at old classmates of mine from way back in Elementary school. I am already friends with two of them, but there is one I kinda remember being nice to me back in kindergarten. He was designated as a line leader for when we filed into two lines to do things in other parts of the school. He then chose me to be fellow line leader as the teacher had prompted him to choose a girl to be one. It was a big deal for me because I never got chosen for anything before. That and being line leader was an important job for a kid in Kindergarten.

Anyways, I guess what I am asking is if I should try and friend him. Maybe it's too long a shot and maybe he doesn't even remember me, but I sure remember him.

Yes, I've done exactly the same and I'm probably about twice your age, so it was even longer ago. But people do remember, and it's nice. Makes me feel more connected to life. And brings back memories of happy times.

I think that if you remember him, there's certainly a chance that he remembers you. If it doesn't hurt you to try to befriend on FB, then I say, "Go for it!".

He would be pleased to read your story even if he does not remember you, and very well might befriend you.

Tell him what you have just told us. Do not simply send him a friends request, but message him with a story. You can even avoid sending a friends request but just send a story with "befriend me if you remember me!" at the end.

Okay, so I mustered up the courage to send him a message with the story and saying that he could friend me if he wanted to. It is what it is and it's in his court now to answer, if at all. Anyways, I reached out, and all I can do now is wait and see...

I reconnected with kids I briefly knew from way back. It was cool they all remembered me, and now I enjoy having them as fb friends.
