Someone mistaked me as the opposite gender yesterday, and I have to see them(as well as another group of people tomorrow night). I feel so awkward, like when that happened I didn't want to bring it up because it isn't a big deal but it is making me feel very awkward to the point I want to wear a hat just to cover my face so when I see them again, I won't have to directly look at them because of what happened. Any advice? What would you do?

Was it so embarassing to you? I'm sorry I'm sure whoever made that comment didn't have any bad intentions. Try not to think about it - if he says something, like apologizing for the comment and such, just give a breif answer. Do you think you can do that?

I suspect the other person will feel just as, if not more embarrassed than you if/when they realize the mistake. Easy to say but try not to worry, or even think about it. Humor can help also should the subject come up.
