As I've mentioned in a previous thread, I was having a hard time getting the courage to explain why I didn't want to go visit my brother. Tonight I called my mom and she mentioned the dates we were going to go visit him and if I could ask to get the time off. I explained I was too new at the front desk to go and reassured her I'll see him when he comes home and I'd take care of the pets while they're gone. Her tone was disappointed but understanding. I'm so glad I got that out of the way before it was a done deal. I feel a lot better about it.
