So about after a month after ending my previous long term relationship of almost 3 years, I am happy to be in what I feel is a healthy relationship. Some may think that just a month is moving on too fast, but it feels right to me.

I have been friends with this person for years technically, although we only reconnected this past December and have talked every day since. He's actually a PC member (TheDragon). Normally I wouldn't try to find someone to date from here, but it has happened and I won't argue that.

We have already spent quite a bit of time in person and we click really well, friendship-wise and romantic-wise. There is some distance between us (a 4 hour-ish drive) but are determined to not let that be a big deal.

This is the first relationship I'll be in where we were friends first, and I think that's pretty cool. My past 2 big concerns from my previous 2 relationships (anger issues, and being taken advantage of financially) are not concerns here and for that I am very grateful.

So yeah, thought I would make a positive post about something very awesome that has happened in my life.

I don't really know what to say that wasn't already said, but feel that I should reply regardless.

All I know is that I feel happy, optimistic, nervous, giddy, and comfortable. I'm definitely looking forward to have a healthy relationship with someone who knows me going into the relationship.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes.

Congrats! What a nice post to read. My husband and I were also friends first and have been married 11 years now. It's a great foundation for any romantic relationship I think.
Thanks for this!

It's kind of rare to share positive relationship experiences (and it's usually hard to do without too much bragging). Thanks for that and good luck!
