I have been with my boyfriend for almost seven years. This is my first long time relationship, but I am in my 30s. I was a late bloomer so I have only had one other boyfriend.

My problem is: I don't know if I feel like I am in love. I do not dislike my boyfriend and I have no desire to end the relationship. I want to be with him, I just have never felt like I've been in love with anyone. I'm kind of a loner, while my boyfriend is the opposite. I'm surprised we are so good together actually because sometimes we are opposites. But like I said, I don't want to leave him.

We don't live together, but we would like to. Finances and family obligations make living together nearly impossible right now. But that does not bother me at all. It bothers him more.

I just don't feel overwhelmed with emotion about our relationship, but I feel very happy about my life. Am I just questioning something over nothing? Does anyone else feel like this in relationships? I do not get lonely very easily so I am thinking that may have something to do with it?

I think it's probably normal to question things in a relationship. But it does sound like you are happy (and in love). I think maybe don't look at love as a certain feeling. If you're measuring it by some kind of magical euphoria feeling, or how the movies and some books portray it, you're never going to find it. I also think maybe each couple is different. You seem happy, so I'd say go with that. If you care about your SO, and want to be with him, that's all that matters.
