Already a family member makes an off comment to me.

I'm sitting this one out. I hate holidays and I hate family functions.

Unfortunately I can't stop them from being here, and I have no place to disappear to today. So riding this one out in my room, headphones on and music playing.

I just hate family gatherings. I've loathed them since I was a kid. Needless to say, my family never fails to prove my point as to why I feel the way I do. I hope no more show up.

People think what they want to think. Doesn't mean they are right. Just the same crap different day with them, and they never disappoint. *shrug*

One of the things I'm grateful for today (& every day) is that I no longer have any extended family (or friends either) with whom I have to hobnob. I don't celebrate the holidays. They're all just normal days to me...

Me too. I didn't want to be here in the first place, but have no place to go today.

Count me in as another one who dreads holidays because of family gatherings!
