What are some ways you go up to this person you're interested in? I am very shy and I really want to get to know this woman. Any tips or advice on how to approach her? Even if it's just starting as friends.

Go up to her and start with something like "hey I really like your........." Something she's wearing, her hair, her smile. Then let the conversation go from there.

If you know a little about her (like hobbies or shows she likes) you can start a conversation that way, You can say ... Oh, did you see the last episode of ____________ ? What did you think?

I love being direct on interests. If I am interested in someone being interested in something I like, I shouldn't hesitate on talking about it.
