I have been feeling something for the past couple of weeks and I cannot figure out what it is. Long story short, I went on a job interview. I liked everything about the job, the people there liked me and I liked the people. I was unhappy in my previous job, but this one looked like it could work for me. I clicked with the future boss pretty well too, which is always a good thing.

Despite the good feeling about the interview, I became very preoccupied afterwards, don't sleep well and don't eat well. I thought about it and realised that the last time I felt like this was when I fell in love with my now-husband. I analysed my thoughts and realised that I tend to continuously recall the encounters with the prospect boss, how his eyes sparkled when he smiled and how he laughed at my jokes. Did I subconsciously have a crush on him? But then again, the job is wonderful - it is something to be preoccupied about.

The question is, how can I tell what I am feeling? Am I just really excited about the job or did I have a crush on the boss? Any thoughts and opinions are welcome!

It can be hard to tell sometimes. If you like the new job, don't let a crush on the boss bug you. I wouldn't act on your feelings do. You don't want to date your boss. It would get messy.
Thanks for this!

Perhaps time will tell (about your thoughts). Does it really matter which it is? perhaps it is both.
Thanks for this!

I think your feelings for your boss likely developed after that good feeling for getting a better job. I say this because after reading your first paragraph this seems to be the case. Whilst you may find your boss good looking, you don’t need to act on it. It could compromise your job.
