I'm cracking up because I've been waiting for the next 'touch' to come from my latest set of friends.
"I'm so stressed out. I told the landlord I was going to give him $300 on
Friday but I'm only going to have $100 and I'm afraid he's going to kick us out!"
(I had given her a hundred to buy medication she needed and she
offered to help me get my house in oder. She offered. Never happened.)
But I was slick this time. Told her I would give her $10 an hour
if she would help me clean and organize. Up to 20 hours. And that I would pay her when she was done.
It would be enough to pay her rent!
And ya know what she said?
" I'll think about it."

Flower not the idiot you thought she was. Dork.

I remember the gift money saga. I like the idea of offering a set amount for needed tasks. It is amusing how they aren't so quick to help.

Hopefully all works itself out with your landlord.
