It's true.
Some man driving on the highway just screamed at me. It was jarring and scary and upsetting. I didn't do anything. It's just summer. I hate ****ing summer. I have strange friends. It makes me want to make new and better ones. I don't want to lose the friends I have. But I am upset and offended by some of the things they say to me lately. One friend told me she hates living in her apartment complex because her neighbors are weird and don't work. But Oh, I'm not like that, she said. I'm different. She is very very negative and doesn't get along with people. Another friend of mine, a college professor and meditation facilitator of the group I go to, told me she sees me as vulnerable and as her having more power than me. What in the ****ing ****. She doesn't know me at all then. I may need to express to her that what she said bothered me. On top of all this, I feel empty inside and unable to go to the knitting group I rsvp'd to tonight. **** life. And on top of all this, really, there are still mass shootings in schools and I'm like, there is something very wrong with society, way beyond political ideologies. |

Well... I pretty-much just keep to myself as much as possible. I've come to the conclusion that if you're not being shot at, you're ahead of the game...

Sorry. It can happen, sometimes, that we have one of those days where we're just angry at the world. I can't blame you.
Hopefully you'll feel better later. Maybe you just need some rest |

I hear you. I've been "sick of the world" for about a month. I feel like there's just an overload of meanness, intolerance, hostility, and so on. It's affecting me badly and I'm isolating a lot.

Here's what I do when I get to this point. I don't know if it will help, but I will suggest it anyways.
-Watch animal videos online. They make me laugh and smile so hard. -Get out into nature, even if just to a park and take it all in. The beauty. -Listen to music. I prefer classical because there is something so peaceful about it. -Snuggle up in bed with a stuffed animal and watch a funny movie. -Compliment a random stranger. Its a win win really. -Paint my toe nails, do my make up, look great even if I go no where. -Hit up a museum. Fascinating and calming environment. Basically focus on the little things that make the world a nice place to be. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the things that upset us but there is so much more to the world. Note: I am an eternal optimist, so it's okay to tell me to stuff my rainbows and sunshine up my butt. LOL. Hugs. |

Awww, you guys are so awesome. Thank you! If I write a response now, it will not be focused. And I want to give you guys my attention. I'm pretty tired today. I got really busy and had a really good day too. I will write more later!

Mickey, thank you. Yes, I think it was just a bad day. Just one of those days! I wish the world would tell me when that's going to happen! I had a better day today.

I hate that you had a terrible day. Your right summer hot weather brings out the worst behavior in people. I use to live in Nashville TN and one of our community centers had a knitting and quilting group. I use to go and I also went to ceramics class too. I was able to really get to know a few of the ladies. I really miss them. I have one friend in the state I live in but she does not have a mental illness. She’s not a warm bubbly type person so I have never tried to be deep with her. Last week the mental health association had a support group meeting. I went and it was ok. I’m going to try NAMI’s support group meeting next month.
