You’ve only known her for two weeks. I don’t understand the issue.

Maybe it's a crush brought about due to the separation from your wife and life back home?

having an interest in someone, even a crush or lusting in our mind about them isn't really abnormal especially with no intimate contact with your loved one for a long time. just dont' act on it, because at that point you've crossed over into cheating and adulterous acts.

Hello!

Yes, I've had this feeling before. Know what it is?

It's hormones.

Well, it's a bit more complicated than that. But mostly, yes, it's the hormones. That primative area of our brain that has those strong, primative urges. Survive, eat, reproduce.

You are in a vunerable place right now. You are isolated from your family and friends. You're lonely.

So you meet this girl, you're attarcted to her. And, boom! Your brain starts releasing this cocktail of hormones. It's a cocktail as potent as any drug. And if you let it highjack you, it will control your actions. And your reactions.

I've been there. I know. Love at first sight and all that. And once that chain reaction starts, it only strengthens every time you see the object of your desire.

Take a mental step back, for just a second. Two weeks. You absolutely do not know this other person. And if she is on the hormone crazy train, too, she feels the same way. She, and you, will taylor your behaviour to continue to increase this. As in, I feel the same way, we have so much in common, we both like the exact same things.

All good until reality sets in. And it eventually will. For both of you. And although in a longshot it is really the start of a meaningful relationship for the both of you, more than likely it's just the darn hormonal soup your brain is floating in right now.

We tend to project our feelings, needs, wants, and desires immediately on someone when we become attracted to them. And the hormones provide the proverbial rose coloured glasses. But in time, if there is time, you might not find (or she, either) that the other is even remotely the kind of person you would want in your life.

Know yourself, and take time to know other people before you let them to become close to you. Heedless disregard of this can negatively effect you and the people you care about, sometimes with a lifetime of hurtful consequences.

Wishing you all the best.
