What are some of the signs that a woman is faking or exaggerating an abuse?

If you want to know how does this affect me, it affects me as someone who has made herself vulnerable, being drained out of her time and energy to help a "victim."

So I want to know the early subtle signs, so that I can prevent being taken advantage of again by someone else. I should be able to focus my energy on helping the real victims of abuse.

I don't know about signs, but perhaps it's a good thing to listen to all sides of the story if you want to make a decision first...
Thanks for this!
