Just wanted to write something because I’m stressing - traveling tomorrow and trying to maintain - cool 😎

The night before traveling can be total-stress. Do what you can to get ready.

Time will pass. Then you'll be on your way. The jitters of tonight will pass.

Thanks for this!

I’m retired - a lot people here know I get super anxious when I travel. I travel to keep life interesting. The problem is I’m kind of a hermit when I’m home and it gets hard to leave. Home is always more comfortable. Thing is I used to travel on my job so you’d think I’d have this down to a science - wrong.... I travel solo so that means I need to keep myself occupied. I thought it would be a lot easier by now.... I have an early flight so that means not much sleep - this adds to the anxiety.... I don’t know maybe I should just stay in my neighborhood but I don’t think that would be healthy.... thank you 🙏

Good for you, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and refusing to stay in a rut.

I've done some solo traveling myself. I actually enjoy my own company. Plus, when you're in a public means of conveyance, you aren't quite alone. I get a sense of fellowship just riding with others on a bus. (I've taken some long journeys via bus.) I've flown enough to where the novelty of doing that has long worn off. If you can get even 2 hours of sleep tonight, you'll be better for it tomorrow.

There must be some aspect of this trip that you can look forward to. In the end, it makes home seem sweeter when you return.
