I'm a 25 year old male about to move in with my 22 year old girlfriend in three weeks. We've dated for almost two years. When I brought up the idea of moving in together six months ago, I was excited. But the last couple months I started feeling increasingly anxious and it's caused me to feel "off" about being with her altogether. We haven't had sex in over a month, it almost feels strange kissing her, and even when I'm having a good time with her it feels like there's a dark cloud hanging over it.

I'm 100% getting cold feet about moving in together and I've quickly realized I have commitment issues. I'm scared that if I'm not ready to take this step now, I never will be. And that makes me feel like we should break up, which also scares me. My anxiety about living together has seeped into my confidence in our relationship and now I'm doubting it.

I don't know what to do. I understand that moving in together isn't a great idea at this point, but how do I resolve the other part? If I'm not ready now, will I ever be? If I can't get up the confidence to move in with her, is it right to stay with her?

I agree that you shouldn't move in with her.

As for breaking up, maybe examine your feelings for her. Is it just that you don't want to move in with her right now or that you don't want to be with her at all?

you can wait to move in, if there's a question in there or doubt, then don't do it. you can stay together and let the relationship grow more first. moving in is a huge commitment and you should be 100% all in before you do it.
