Hi whoever's reading this. I recently wrote a post (which you'll maybe be able to see on my profile, still not completely sure how this site works) in which i discussed my father's behaviour. I just wanted to update you all that i talked to my school counselor who told me that the only option i have is to stick it out till college. To be completely honest, i wasn't exactly satisfied with her response. I shared with her that I've been having suicidal thoughts and all she said was "Think of how your mother will feel if you did something to yourself". I was hoping for a little more, but I'm honestly thankful because she listened to me calmly and patiently and didn't make it seem like my father's outbursts were my fault at all.
So in conclusion, thank you to whoever supported me on this forum because i really did need it. As crazy as it sounds, i needed the validation, needed someone to tell me i wasnt to blame for what was going on. I'm going to try my very best to hold on till i can find a better living situation. Thank you once again xx

Could you call social service anonymous or the police? You shouldn't be told to stick it out .

Nothing crazy about it Saishaa.
Confirmation that you are correct. Not that you ever actually doubted yourself, but...nice to have it regardless.
