A girl that I became interested in lately seems to be interested in me too. The thing is she just got out of a relationship and is dealing with another serious life issue right now (which I won't get into).

I've made it clear that I like her, and she says "she likes me too but it is bad timing". ( I don't know if she is saying this to be nice or if she really means it.) The thing is, I'm not quite ready for a relationship...but I try to remain nice and supportive to her...acting like a friend basically.

I'm afraid she thinks I'm pushing for a relationship (which I've already decided is not the best thing to do since i need to straighten some things out in my own life)....and this has created some awkwardness.

I've told her I want to talk to clear things up...but she seems to side-step the subject. Should I just give her some space and wait until she comes around?

I would personally give her a little room to work it out, & Continue to be there for her as a friend. Hopefully, if she really does like you, when you are both ready for the relationship, it will work out. But do give her a little space. The more desperate you seem, the more stressed she will be during this time.

Hope that helps!

I would give her the space. I think you have cleared up enough for right now. When you hear from her behave as you always do. A friend. I would not be questioning her about anything either. If she wants to talk she will. And vice versa. I can not say if she is being honest about waiting or not. That you will find out soon I am sure. But dont wait around forever either. Life is to short if you feel someone is playing games. Good Luck.

I think she's trying to nicely give you the hint to back off. I'd suggest giving her her space. Just let her know you're there for her if she needs you. Let her pursue you.
