If you don't like being teased, of course it would make you uncomfortable.

I don't think what she did was inappropriate but if you live there you won't need to have any dealings with her. Hence, I don't think this should make you question whether it is the right apartment or not. You seemed to really like it initially.

You laughed along to be polite. In social interactions, people would do so instead of being rude. Likewise, you held something when she asked you, which most people would also do. It's not about people pleasing.. I think you are being too harsh on yourself.

Sorry you got triggered and there are times a person’s behavior can bring up an unpleasant reminder of someone unpleasant from our past. You did fine despite experiencing that odd behavior.

Open Eyes - Yeah that's true that sometimes someone's behavior can make us "remember" past difficulties. Doesn't always mean its the same situation though. Thanks.
