Right on cue, my dad has started early with the endless drama. I'll give a little bit of a background. Currently I share a house with my brother and our 84 year old dad who has COPD. Over the years the COPD has gotten worse but my dad is also the the biggest baby when it comes to physical ailments. He is also a bit of a narcissist and believes that we exist to serve him like we "owe" him. Also, he really doesn't do anything to help himself.
This morning he started his "drama" early, he apparently found his way into the kitchen when I was getting ready for work at 5:30am. I go down and he sitting there "Didn't anyone hear me calling for help?" Actually we didn't because we are in older house with window AC units and you can't hear anything when the doors are closed. Then I had to hear about how he had an awful night and etc etc etc. This is constant by the way. I asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital...the same response.....no. He doesn't take care of himself, doesn't move around that much (even though he should) and then we have to hear his endless complaining. I don't think we should be subjected to this and am really starting to think that he needs to be in a home. Or at least someone to come in and help him out. Its just frustrating and when does it end...... |
