A lady on ND recommend her cleaning lady to me. She charges a flat rate. The first time she was supposed to come over she had a family emergency at the last minute. The second time she broke her arm. She didn’t offer to reschedule at a later date after she got better.

I am starting to wonder if she is having very bad luck or if she might be making excuses. The fact that everything was canceled at the last second is raising red flags. Especially since she didn’t try to reschedule anything at the time or say that she’ll contact me again.

What do you all make of this situation?

We have no ways to know what’s the deal. I recommend you ask her directly.

But if she broke her arm, she can’t clean houses any time soon and can’t really reschedule as she doesn’t know how it will heal and when. My hair dresser broke her wrist and after two surgeries and two casts, her hand is still not ok. She can’t work and it’s been a year. She may never work again. I’d not ask a person who broke her arm when she can clean again. She can’t possibly know.

At this point it’s wise to look for a different cleaner.

I got a text from her regular cliient who confirmed things with me. She talked to her & she gave me more details. I was suspicious at first since it was so last minute & this happened a second time. It was a weird coincidence.
