He was getting aggressive, poor guy, he’s in a psychiatric hospital now. On sedation for sleep. This has never happened to me before. I don’t understand how things get out of hand. He was not feeling good, they’ve admitted him for one or two weeks. I want to visit him, though not sure.

Is it the friend about whom you recently wrote that he was manic and about to be taken to see a psychiatrist?

Sounds like he was smoking bath salts or got hold of something. In the usa, usually it is not possible to visit psychiatric patients. It's mentally distracting, you know? They are trying to limit any kind of non-medical-initiated influences, good or bad or indifferent.

It is kind of you to care. Just wait and see what happens.

Update: we are going to meet him tomorrow. He over exerted himself by going to a ten day meditation session and excessive marathon running along with stress at home.

Yes! You are absolutely right! I’m surprised that you noticed that. Yes he is the one who showed those manic signs. Will tell you my interpretation of why it might have happened in a separate post. Possibly titled- why my friend got admitted suddenly

I suggest you post on your initial thread rather than create yet another thread. This will make it much easier for readers to follow your updates in what is essentially one evolving story.
