Hi Friends,
My husband has been fairly cranky for months now, since he injured his knee in the Fall. It was getting better, and then he fell off a step ladder just before the new year, and then he fell about a month later, reinjuring the same knee, when he was in town picking up some horse feed. Anyway yesterday morning when I came downstairs, he told me he had fallen down the stairs in the night. Here's the funny part, he said his knee was now feeling better. Husband is 68, and the stairs are 100-years old, winding and uneven. They are probably number two on my list of why I would like to move -- right after number one of having to haul our own water. For those of you who have been following my life, you know husband WILL NOT move. He loves being king of 18 acres. EJ |

Well, I guess I'm glad he's feeling better? (love this icon, why would you be smiling in the rain? Either that or they need to take away the umbrella over the person frowning in the rain :-)
Considerate of him, don't you think, to fall in the night and not tell you until after he found out he was all right? I would have been hollering (not that that gets my husband doing anything, he waits to see how things develop and if I tell him to call 911 or whatever; he even questioned with me briefly, to make sure, when I asked him to call 911 a couple years ago :-) __________________ "Never give a sword to a man who can't dance." ~Confucius |

Hi Perna,
I slept through the whole thing. He scared one of the dogs half to death because he almost landed on her. She ran back up the stairs, and sat on one of the steps looking mournfully at him, like she wanted to do something to help, but didn't know what to do. He doesn't like seeking medical help. EJ |

Owie, my knees hurt! Well maybe you need a new upgrade of stairs? I don't know how expensive that would be... Or maybe just a big ramp? No i dont like the ramp idea.
