I would be greatly interested and appreciative for any advice that anyone might have about my marriage. It has been a struggle for many years that my wife and I have attributed to being an aspect of her being BiPolar. There has never been any blame laid upon her for it. We have recently discovered that I have DID. I know that a relationship with one person who has either one of these can be very difficult. Since this information about me has come to light, it has been increasingly difficult. If anyone else has been thru this or has any advice I'ld be happy to hear it.

Hi Atredies, Welcome to PC. Advice requested for a couple with DID and BiPolar
I have DID and my son has Bipolar. It can be rough for sure! I think for son and I, the biggest thing to overcome was understanding and patience. Son used to trigger me horribly (often intentionally) and it caused all sorts of havoc in my brain, making it very hard (and often impossible) to stay present. I know mine is a different type of relationship, but please don't hesitate to ask questions. Son and I have been able to work through a lot of stuff and now work to help each other instead of making things worse on either end.

Good luck to you and please keep posting. Nice to meet you! Advice requested for a couple with DID and BiPolar
