There's no worse a lonely than the lonely felt when surrounded by others.

There's just not.

If only there was a magical spell we could use to take that kind of feeling away.....so we could all feel as well as know how much we are loved and appreciated and never ever alone.

I agree this is the worst kind of seclusion that there is. Made worse I think when those around you don’t know the source of the problem and attempt to help. unno:

((((((((((((((((( everyone )))))))))))))))))))

thank you.

it's the strangest thing...the next morning this feeling was completely gone.

i think i know why

i member, and friend, here PM'ed me asking what i thought was going on and why...offering to be anything she could be to me (thank you so much). anyhow, in trying to put words to it, it dawned on me why i was feeling as i did.

literally...once i named it, gave it attention that it deserved, it was gone.

i appreciate so much your care and hope that all who experience that kind of isolation can also feel a relief of that pure pain.

(((((((((Kimmy))))))))))),

How wonderful that putting words to it made it able to be delt with......We never know when just the right words will hit us the right way & help us figure out what's going on inside.

I know it's horrible being surrounded with people & feeling that way.....& now when I am completely alone, I feel less alone than I even did in 33 years of marriage.......who would think that being completely alone would bring those kind of feelings of not being alone???? Can't really put the words to it, but it's awsome.

Take care of yourself & keep the healing thoughts coming,
Debbie

I knew a man that had lots of friends and was surrounded by them at an event I attended. He came to me with tears in his eyes and said "I'm so lonely". It took me years to understand what he meant. I sometimes feel that way too. In my deepest thoughts I am lonely.............outwardly I am not what I am inwardly.........lonely, that's me and my secrets.
