Hello,
My best friend left for the army on sept 11th 2008. Scary date right. I know. I got my second letter from him today. He seems so happy to be there and to be making something of himself, but im going crazy without him here.We used to spend every weekend together. Its weird to wake up on saturday mornings and not have him laying there beside me. I feel so selfish because i want him here.. is that really bad?

I agree with muffy what you are feeling is not bad or selfish, it says that you care for this person. Try to write him as often as possible to let him know that he is missed.
