my parents can NEVER get along, they fight 24/7. Well not all the time, half the time they fight, the other half they ignore each other!! Im only 14 and I have an older sister who is 16. My parents fight in the store, in front of me, in front of my sister. All the time!! I wish they could just GROW UP!!
yesterday they were fighting so much my dad threw his wedding ring on the ground. My sister found it and asked if he lost it, he simply said "no". My dad told my sister they might be getting a divorce. I live on a farm and we all worked so hard to build this house and I just don't know what will happen, i'm so depressed. My parents aren't even speaking to each other at the moment!

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. It's really not fair to you and your sister.

I am very sorry to hear this. My parents divorced when I was 14, so trust me when I say I know how you feel. Saying that, I didn't know what their problems were, why they fought, why they couldn't reconcile their differences and stay together, and to this day neither of them ever told me what happened. And, fighting really has nothing to do with being grown up or not, it's part of life. It's sad, but every relationship has it's up and downs, fights and love moments...
I can say this, if I knew then what I know now, I would sit them down and make them listen to me, you be the adult. Make them talk, not fight and suggest marriage counseling...maybe have your sister with you, tell them you love them, and you hate all this fighting and ignoring each other, and you believe things can and will get better if everyone tries. Just a suggestion. I feel for you tho, hope things get better. GL and take care! |

yeah those are really good idea's, thanks for helping. I just hate it they pick the most random things to fight about, color of the wall, how much money their spending, practically everything!!! but next time they fight i will definantly be there to stop it, make them listen to me for once. also this one time i walked in the room and my dad just yells "**** you too!" to my mother so im just all silent and walk to my room ignoring it all. It makes me so sad and angry and just every emotion when they can never get along! but i will seriously take your advice!! thank-you so much!!
