can suppress appetite too much, have to be strictly monitor caffeine intake among other stimulants

I've been taking Concerta for nearly a year. Started at 36mgs now taking 54mgs. The only time I experienced side effects was when I wasn't eating enough and if I drank too much coffee. It's a good drug. It has changed my life in a positive way. I wouldn't recommend it for someone that struggles with addiction or that drinks a lot. Also, avoid ephedrine while taking this. If you suffer from allergies or take cold medication when under the weather; always check the ingredients for ephedrine. Usually anything that says it's daytime or has a nasal decongestant contains ephedrine. I found out the hard way and thought I was going to have a heart attack. Luckily, after relaxing my heart rate slowed down.

PROS:
Helps with attention, no big cardio effects
CONS:
Not as effective as amphetamine-based meds
Drug helped with attention, but have since switched to Vyvanse and Adderall, which are much more effective for me personally. Found side effects on Concerta to be similar to those of Vyvanse. Your mileage may vary.

PROS:
Quieted the noise in my head; enables me to embrace multi-step tasks
CONS:
None that I can recall
Began taking Concerta in 2007. I have been reinvigorated. I returned to college, and am currently working towards the degree abandoned 30 years ago. I am also writing multi-voiced music with harmonies and complex chord structures.
I can stay with a reading assignment.
My only challenge now is realizing that I can embark upon and complete a task. For most of my life, I have avoided multi-step tasks, because I knew I would eventually drop it.
Concerta is doing its job for me.

I take Concerta because when I'm depressed I can't do anything but sit. This helps me get going.

I like concerta. It helps me focus and it helps shield my ADHD but if you take it too late in the morning, the stimulant effects will make it harder for you to fall asleep at night.

I took it 2 years ago. It did help me with my ADD but it increased my bipolarity. At the start of taking it, I weighed around 99 pounds. By the time my doctor took me off, I was 87. I was 4'9"
