Worked really well...for a while.

CONS:

NAUSEA, sleep paralysis, vivid nightmares
I started taking Viibryd in November of 2017. It was amazing and did wonders for me at first. But then, when May came around, it stopped working. I had multiple depressive episodes and experienced horrible nausea if I didn't eat enough food before taking it. If I took it too close to bed, I would experience the worst nightmares and sleep paralysis. I was going to increase my dose, but it already cost me way too much money already. It's not worth being sick all the time and paying over two hundred dollars for something that doesn't all the way work. I'm in the process of stopping Viibryd and starting on Pristiq.

This has been the most stable med I have taken

For me - None

I found this began to work rather quickly. I have been on Viibryd for approx. 2 years. It has been weight neutral for me. I did have genetic testing to see what medications would work best at lower doses, well worth the amount I had to pay out of pocket for good medications.

Nausea, restless legs

Viibryd has changed my entire life, honestly. I will say though, starting out with this medication was horrible. I started with 10 mg to get used to it. As soon as I took it, I would get horribly nauseated; I lived on Pepto-Bismol and ginger ale for a while. Nights were awful because I'd get restless legs. But I already felt my mood improving. After taking 10 mg for a week, the side effects finally went away. But then I had to up my dose to 20 mg. The side effects of nausea and restless legs started up again, but I was prepared. After a week, they went away. Now, I've been on it for 2 months, and I feel amazing! This does need to be taken with a good amount of food. I find if I don't eat enough before taking it, I'll get a little nauseous, but it's not horrible. I don't have good insurance, so it's $200 to buy two months worth, but luckily my doctor has been providing me with samples while I try to figure out the money aspect. There are discount cards available that say you can pay as little as $10 depending on your insurance. All in all, I definitely recommend Viibryd. I finally feel like myself again

Does not work for me. Depression still going on no hope in sight. Been taking it for 5 months

I wish I never stopped the Paxil, don't know if it may have at least kept the depression from going farther. Dr. had to file an appeal just to get it approved. This drug is way too expensive to not help!!

I usually get approved drugs through americantrustpills (seriously, this place sucks) without danger. Sad to say I use to take lots of it so low price is essential for me.

PROS:

Improves energy, uplifting, good for both depression (including Seasonal Affective Disorder) and anxiety
CONS:
Initial trouble staying asleep, some GI effects which wore off after 2 weeks of use
I have tried various antidepressants for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and Dysthymia. Only Paxil and Prozac have been mildly effective for the depressive aspect. Most of them have helped with the anxiety that often goes along with such conditions. Viibryd is the first medication that has been very effective for me. It lifted the fog and gloomy feeling and it increased my energy, focus, and alertness. I feel 10 years younger and fresher. In the beginning and with each titration there were some mild GI issues that lasted 2-4 days. There was some difficulty with sleep in the beginning and with each upward titration, but sleep eventually improved. Incidentally, Viibryd has also increased my libido.

Works great for anxiety
CONS:

Weight gain and uncontrollable appetite/very expensive copay
I took this medication after stopping Wellbutrin. While it virtually stopped my chronic anxiety, I haven't really been able to get the dose past 15 mg/day because it caused me such extreme hunger and cravings. This seems to be a fairly uncommon side effect, though, but I've gained about 8 pounds in 6 weeks while not eating any more than I did in the past. Have asked my doctor for a different rx and am waiting...
