Negative aspects of the product (cons):	Partners or one of them might not want to discuss the counseling session outwith the therapist’s space

Some couples attend marriage counseling because they can’t communicate with each other. Feedback at the end of a session has to help them gain an insight into how their spouse feels the counseling is going too.Partners or one of them might not want to discuss the counseling session outwith the therapist’s space.

My husband and I went in for couples therapy one time, and boy, you'd have thought we were on the Titanic!!! It went from bad to worse in a split second. I tried to be honest and all I got from that was a "death" sentence. We were having br problems, and I thought it might help us back to each other. Well, I can see where seeking professionals got me!!!! I will NEVER, NEVER do that again in my lifetime. Now that ws about 20 years ago????............now I just don't give a damn!!!! KANGAROO COURT IS NOT IN SESSION--------

Negative aspects of the product (cons):	When only one tries it fails

My ex-wife could not come to terms, and own up to her own faults , so she just centered on mine. I got tired of my problems being paraded in front of me and how they affected our relationship. When I tried to bring hers out I got pure denial. To this day she can't admit she has mental illness even when she is now being treated for it. Even though mine fell through I would still say try it.

Negative aspects of the product (cons):	refer to above statement

when both partners work together in couples therapy, it works wonderfully well; however, when both are not equally perserverant, then all heck breaks loose and the benefits are lost...

Negative aspects of the product (cons):	embarassment when partner reveals personal info

Marriage counseling has helped me and my husband argue and dispute opposing viewpoints without resulting in yelling or crying.
