It is a long story but I was recently terminated by my now x-pdoc. In all my writing trying to sort out my feelings and discovered I am/have been totally in love with my ex-psychiatrist. I think my feelings are also complicated by the fact that i used anger towards him to hide those feelings and push him away. I feel so guilty and ashamed and just icky about having these feelings for him. He will never know...that i am relieved about for sure. But it also hurts so bad to never see him again. I mean I found his FB page and what I can see of it but it is not the same as face 2 face contact once a month. Yuck I am so embarrassed by these feeling...it is just...wrong.

Feelings aren't wrong, they just are. The wound is fresh so it hurts the most now... give yourself some time to heal, and try and show yourself the same compassion you would give him if the roles were reversed.
Hugs, Jacq

Feelings aren't right or wrong....they simply are. We should honor ALL of our feelings.

Your feelings are not wrong at all, they are normal and natural. Give them time and let yourself feel what you feel. If you acknowledge them, it will get better with time.
